Is one of the founding members of Europe Jazz Media – a community of jazz journalists, media professionals and broadcasters.
He has organised various contemporary music and performing arts events, and since 2010 has worked as one of the artistic curators of Bologna’s Angelica Festival.
He has collaborated with various Norwegian institutions in Italy (Royal Norwegian Embassy, Royal Norwegian Consulate in Bologna), as well as with Jazzforum, Music Norway, Listen to Norway and Jazznytt.

is best known as presenter of BBC Radio 3’s award winning ‘Late Junction’ and has presented programmes on BBC radio for over 20 years. She has also contributed to many books and articles about Norwegian music, and curated festivals and series bringing together Norwegian arts with Norwegian and Briti sh arti sts. In 2009 she was awarded the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit for her work with the Norwegian arts scene.

Sull’orlo del collasso economico e finanziario, alla fine del 2012 l’esperienza della casa editrice riceve un nuovo impulso grazie all’intervento provvidenziale di Hans & Alice Zevi, che ne raccolgono l’eredità promuovendone il rilancio.
Mimesis International is a publishing house in the humanities, launched in 2013 by the same group behind Éditions Mimésis and Mimesis Edizioni. Like these other imprints, it is dedicated to an interdisciplinary approach towards research in the humanities, while maintaining a keen interest in philosophy. Oxbow Books was founded in 1983 by David Brown, and started life in a shed in the garden of St Cross College, Oxford. The company quickly outgrew the shed, and moved to more spacious premises where the number of books grew and grew, as did the number of staff. In the mid-1980s an office was established in North America, which became the David Brown Book Company and later Casemate Academic, now a major academic book distributor.
Oxbow Books operates in three areas, all of which it has been involved in from the outset; retail bookselling, through our mail-order catalogues (the well-known Oxbow Book News) and website; publishing, and distribution.
In 2011 the company was bought by Casemate Publishing. Its aims remain the same; to produce high-quality publications, provide our customers with the best information on the books in our field, and a single source of supply.
We are delighted to be celebrating our 30th anniversary in 2013.
